Laughter

Jax is finally laughing!  He makes us work for it, but it is so worth it!  Tonight, he was in an especially giggly mood, so we took advantage of it and got it on video and on pictures.

I love these laughs.  The kind where they surprise themselves and get a shocked look on their faces after laughing.  The kind where their whole body shakes when they laugh.  The kind where you can't help but smile along.  These are the moments that I live for as a Mommy :)

Here are some cute pictures of our little man:

Alex's Christmas Play

Alex had his Christmas Play at school today.  His class is singing "Jingle Bells" and ringing bells.  Alex is in the green Santa Claus shirt.  I'm not sure if he ever sang his song, but he sure did dance and ring his bell like a champ!

Here are a few pictures that I got during the play:

Ready for the singing to begin:

Ringing his bells and clapping:

Dancing...he was so excited!!

Crazy kid:

Jumping (or dancing):

I was getting a little worried for the girl next to him...he was waving his bells kind of wildly :)

No idea what he is doing in this one:

Playtime with Daddy

Tonight, Alex and Larry discovered a fun new game!

Larry was the basketball hoop and Alex was the basketball.  The idea of the game was simple, Alex throws himself through Larry's arms.  He had an absolute blast...and I got a video of it :)

Happy Birthday, Katelyn!

Today is our favorite Baby Girl's 2nd birthday!

I can't believe that our sweet Katelyn is 2 - it just doesn't seem possible!  We wish we could be in Colorado celebrating with Katelyn, Nonna, Jenny, Kyle, Joshua, Matt and everyone else.  We are sending lots of love and lots of birthday hugs!

Happy Birthday, Katelyn!  Know just how much you are loved and cared about!  Thank you for being the sweet girl in our bunch of boys...we need you :)

Here is a cute video of Alex wishing his special Baby Girl a Happy Birthday:

Very Important Kid

After eating breakfast this morning, Alex decided to he wanted to play with my computer.  I told him no and then he decided to tell me that he "had to check his me-mo (email)"!

Luckily I was able to get a video of him!  He cracks me up!  I had no idea that he was so important and had an email account...next up, he will tell me he has Facebook!

More Dancing

While at the mall today, we got Alex an "Alabama Dinosaur".  We thought that it would play the Alabama fight song (would be the obvious idea since it is dressed up like an Alabama football player).  We were VERY wrong...it plays some crazy song where the chorus sounds similar to "doctor, doctor help".  It is terrible!

Unfortunately, Alex LOVES this dinosaur and loves dancing around to it.  I got a video of him dancing to it this afternoon.

I'm beginning to question where he gets his moves from...surely it is his daddy, right?!

Jumpy Jump

While we were at the mall today, we saw the trampoline jump thing at the mall.  Alex watched a few kids jump on it and then asked Larry and I if he could do it.  Well, I guess he kind of told us that he was going to do it "Alex do it!"  Larry and I told him okay, but we really didn't think he would actually do it!

As we got closer to it, he got really excited and pulled himself out of his stroller.  They would let us in the area near the trampoline, so our big boy walked in there all by himself and waited on the girl to tell him what to do.  He climbed up on the trampoline and the girl harnessed him in.

When it started, he got the biggest smile on his face and jumped up and down.  He loved it!!  Our little man has NO fear.  How many 2 and a half year olds do you know that would do this?!

And a video :)

Dancing Video

This is a video that I took with my cell phone of Alex dancing around the playroom!  He was dancing to the theme song of Lazytown (the parents out there will understand what I'm talking about)!  The video is a little dark, but you can still see the cuteness!

Enjoy!!

Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho...It's Off To Work We Go!

I think we are raising the eighth dwarf...

In the past couple of days, we have watch Snow White several times (at the insistence of Alex).

Alex has decided that he loves the song that the dwarves sing in it!  You know the one, "Heigh ho, heigh ho...it's off to work we go!"  We often hear him walking around the house singing "HEIGH HOOOOO, HEIGH HOOOOO!"

Today, I was lucky enough to get him singing it on video.  If you listen closely, you can hear him trying to say "it's off to work we go" - it comes out more like "off work go"!

After watching this so many times, I don't know if it is the singing that makes me laugh so hard or the ADD that he is displaying.  A quarter of the way through the song he starts looking at his arms, then his legs, then he takes off his boots - typical child with a short attention span!!

Enjoy the video of our little dwarf :)

Funny Video

Here is another video of our dancing fool:

Yes, we know that he isn't all that graceful and that it doesn't have much rythm...but he sure is cute!

Dancing Fool

Tonight, Alex decided that he wanted to wear his robe over his footed jammies (kind of like Hugh Hefner). As if that wasn't enough to get us laughing, he decided that he would also provide a little entertainment for the evening!

Here is a video of Alex dancing around the living room in his jammies and robe. Enjoy :)

Dancing Boy!

Tonight, Larry turned on the Christmas music channel on our tv. Alex started dancing to "Feliz Navidad" and I thought it was the funniest thing I have seen in a long time.

I picked up my cell phone and started filming him. I know it isn't the best quality, but I hope it makes you laugh! Please disregard the shakiness of camera, I was laughing too hard to stop!

And this is one of the videos that Larry got! Wow...this kid cracks me up :) He definitely will be yelling at me for these videos in just few years!!

Finally, the third installment of the Feliz Navidad video! This kid really knows how to shake his booty!!

Temper Tantrum

For all of you that think Alex is a nice, sweet, calm boy...here is proof that he isn't all the time! This is when I was fighting with him to take a nap - we had just moved into our room when the tantrum ensued.

Enjoy!

Bye-Bye Daddy!

Larry left today for a 12 day adventure to England! While there, he will be testing and flying in the Royal Air Force AW101 Merlin helicopter. He will be spending most of his time in Culdrose (I think that is how you spell it) which is in the southwest corner of England, but they are planning to travel to London on the last day of the trip to tour and look around!

Larry will be flying in this helicopter (I found the image on Wikipedia):

And here is a link so you can read up on the helicopter if you want: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AgustaWestland_AW101

He said that it is the largest helicopter that he has flown in. They will be spending approximately 8 hours in the AW1o1 flying it. Most of the time his friend (fellow schoolmate and Naval Pilot), Nick, will be flying. Larry will however get to spend about 30 minutes flying, along with Cecily (another schoolmate and a NFO). He is really excited that he will be able to fly it! I told Larry to have fun, work hard and take plenty of pictures!

Today, instead of going into school this morning, Larry was able to spend some time with Alex and I. We went to Target, helped Larry finish packing (well, Alex didn't so much help - he mostly pulled the stuff out of Larry's suitcase as he was trying to put it in), went to The Jump Yard and had lunch at McDonald's. It was nice being able to spend a few hours with Larry before he left!

Alex had a great time at The Jump Yard (as usual). I forgot to bring my camera...shocking, I know! I did get a quick video of him going down the big slide though.

I would be lying if I said that we weren't sad and missing Larry. But, while Alex and I will miss him, we know that we will see him again in 12 short (okay, maybe long) days! I hope to have lots of pictures and stories from Larry to relay to you all when he returns.

Disney on Ice

Our weather was not cooperating for Trick-or-Treating, so Larry and I made the decision to take our Batman to the Disney on Ice show in Baltimore. We arrived at the arena and discovered that we had amazing seats. We were sitting right in front of the ice and could see the characters as they came out - not too bad for buying them about 6 hours before the show.

On our way to the show, we decided that when Alex had "enough" (parents, you know what I am talking about), we would leave. No pressure! He is only 2, so we didn't expect too much out of him! To our amazement, he sat and watched the entire show. He was wide-eyed, singing, dancing and LOVED it! From the moment that the characters started dancing, he was so into the show. He got a little restless during intermission, but once we gave him a lollipop and the show started again, he was good to go! We wound up staying for the entire show.

I had always heard that seeing things through your kids eyes' is like seeing things for the first time. I had really never experienced that...until this show! Watching Alex watch the show was worth every dollar we spent on it! It made my heart smile to know that he was enjoying himself and that he loved what was going on. I am so excited to experience so much more with him now!

We took a bunch of pictures...both of Alex watching the show and of the ice show itself. Enjoy them.

Also, here is a short video that I took with my cell phone of Alex watching the show! I know that it is dark and not the best quality, but it just shows you how into the show he actually was!

We know that we didn't celebrate the traditional Halloween, but we created memories that we will treasure forever. We have years of Trick-or-Treating ahead of us, but last night was something that no amount of candy could have replaced!

Hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween!

Oh No...

I took this video of Alex on my cell phone today. I thought I would take a quick video of Alex to send to Larry while he is away.

I know the quality of this video is terrible, but it was so cute that I couldn't help but post it! The light was on on my cell phone for the first few seconds, so Alex starts smiling into it and as soon as it shuts off Alex says "OH NO!" I thought it was super cute and Larry really enjoyed seeing his boy in action today!

Enjoy!

Baby Got Back

Larry was flipping through the TV channels today and we noticed that whenever there was a song on, Alex would get up and start dancing (well, his version of dancing). Larry turned it to the music channels and one of the songs that came on was "Baby Got Back". Alex loved it and was dancing all around the room...it was so funny!

I quickly grabbed my cell phone so I could record it! Yes, the quality of the video is terrible, but if you can get passed that, it is hilarious!

Another Video

I took this video with my cell phone of Alex dancing in his high chair to "Boom, Boom, Pow"! Sorry for the poor quality, but it was just too cute not to share!

Boom Boom Boom

Our little man is a dancing fool!

He loves the song "Boom Boom Pow" by the Black Eyed Peas and will dance when it comes on! He now says "Boom, Boom, Boom" when it comes on the radio!

Larry was lucky enough to catch him dancing (in his diaper) last night while I was cooking dinner!

Here are two quick videos of him dancing...enjoy!
