We took Alex to his first movie today, Toy Story 3. We weren't quite sure how he would do since he had never been to a movie before.
He did amazing! He got a little antsy at the end, but after an hour and 50 minute movie, I was starting to get antsy as well! He sat VERY still as long as you kept filling him up with popcorn...man, this kid LOVES popcorn!
The movie itself was so good! I love all the Toy Story movies and I was sad to see it come to an end!

Happy 4th of July to all of our friends and family!
We tried to figure out a place to take Alex to watch the fireworks, but they started too late and we were a bit worried about how the loud noise would affect him. We finally decided to stick around the house and see what people were shooting off in our neighborhood.
Our neighbors down the street started shooting some off and Alex REALLY liked them. His face lit up everytime they would light one off! After a few minutes, Uncle PJ decided to go get some of our own. When he got back, Larry and Uncle PJ went to work setting off a few fireworks of our own.
Alex was in awe of the "wireworks"! As soon as one would go off, he would tell Larry and PJ "one more wirework, please"! It was incredible to watch his face light up :)

Stay Safe, Uncle PJ! We love you!
Uncle PJ is leaving today for Iraq, but we were lucky enough that that he had a seven hour layover at the Washington-Dulles airport. Larry, Alex and I went to spend a few hours and have dinner with him! We were really happy to be able to see him and spend some time with him before we left!
PJ hadn't seen Alex since October for Sheena's wedding, so he was amazed with how much he has grown! He couldn't get over how quick he was running around and all of the things that he was saying! Alex told Uncle PJ all the animal noises that he knows and showed him where his belly button is and where his nose is! Alex also made sure to give Uncle PJ plenty of hugs and kisses!
We are so proud of PJ for serving our country! We are both proud of him and honored that he is our brother (and uncle)! We will miss PJ, but we know that he will stay safe and that God will protect him! We love him so very much!
Please include PJ in your thoughts and prayers!
