Yee-haw!

Alex loves to get on our back and ride around, all while yelling "yee-haw"! Tonight, he climbed up on Larry's back and I snapped a quick picture of the two of them!

I just love when they play together...nothing makes me smile bigger!

Best Seat in the House!

Alex found the best seat in the house...on Daddy's back!

I thought they looked so cute, so I couldn't help but take a picture :)

Let's Go Fly A Kite...

Larry and I got Alex his first kite a few weeks ago. It was the Justice League characters - Batman and Superman! Because of icky weather and Larry going out of town, today was the first chance we got to fly it! It was absolutely gorgeous outside and just enough of a breeze to really make the kite soar.

It was amazing to both Larry and I that even though Alex had never flown a kite, he was so excited to do it! We told him that we were going to the park and we were going to fly a kite - he kept saying "kite" over and over on the way to the park and then once we got there.

Larry quickly got it set up and before long, Alex was flying his kite! He LOVED it! It was so neat to be able to experience another "first" with Alex. Larry and I love being able to see the world and new things through his eyes. I have flown many kites in my life, but I never had as much fun as I did today!

I took a BUNCH of pictures from the day! I know there are a lot, but I couldn't narrow them down - he was just too cute! Enjoy!

Larry is Home!

After a long, 10-day TPS sponsored field trip, Larry is back in Maryland. His adventures took him to Mesa, Arizona, Las Vegas, Nevada, San Jose, California and Anaheim, California. He was able to fly in an MD-902 (Explorer) helicopter in Arizona, in an Albatross SeaPlane in Nevada, and OH-58C (Kiowa) helicopter in San Jose. In Anaheim, they sat in on the SETP (Society of Experimental Test Pilots) Conference for two days, learning valuable information!

Don't worry, along with all the work that they did, they were able to squeeze in a little fun. While in Arizona, they went to a dueling piano bar and had a great time. In Las Vegas, they enjoyed the nightlife, bars and bands. And finally for sitting in on the conference, all of the students got one free ticket to California Adventures and took advantage of it on Friday evening. They rode the roller coaster several times at California Adventures and rode the Tower of Terror.

While Larry was away, we really missed him...and I think he might have missed us too! We are happy that he had a fun and successful trip :)

Here is a slideshow of pictures from Larry's trip:

Oh No...

I took this video of Alex on my cell phone today. I thought I would take a quick video of Alex to send to Larry while he is away.

I know the quality of this video is terrible, but it was so cute that I couldn't help but post it! The light was on on my cell phone for the first few seconds, so Alex starts smiling into it and as soon as it shuts off Alex says "OH NO!" I thought it was super cute and Larry really enjoyed seeing his boy in action today!

Enjoy!

CHEESE!!

Larry is out of town on a work "field trip". While I had Alex in the bath tonight, I told him to say "cheese" for a picture for Daddy! This is what I got from him:

Anyone else think he is a ham?!

Baby Got Back

Larry was flipping through the TV channels today and we noticed that whenever there was a song on, Alex would get up and start dancing (well, his version of dancing). Larry turned it to the music channels and one of the songs that came on was "Baby Got Back". Alex loved it and was dancing all around the room...it was so funny!

I quickly grabbed my cell phone so I could record it! Yes, the quality of the video is terrible, but if you can get passed that, it is hilarious!

Photo Collage

After playing around with a photo editing program this evening, I came up with the following picture collage.

I thought it turned out really well and decided to share it with all of you! Let me know what you think :)

I might start making more collages instead of adding a slideshow when I only have a few pictures to show you all!

First Ice Cream Cone

Can you believe our little man has never had his own ice cream cone before?! Well, believe it!

He has had cups of ice cream and ice cream cake, but never had his own ice cream cone! Well, today at Chik-Fil-A we fixed that! We traded in his toy and got him an ice cream cone.

At first, he wasn't quite sure what he was supposed to do with it. Once Daddy showed him how he was supposed to eat it, he loved it! Surprisingly, he wasn't too messy with it!

I only had my cell phone handy, so the pictures aren't the best quality, but they are really cute!

Park Day

We having been having absolutely beautiful weather here, so we decided to take advantage of it and take Alex to the park. We took him to a newly remodeled park. They had quite a few things that he had never see before and loved! Because the playground is new, the colors were so bright and vibrant - it looked amazing against his orange shirt in the pictures.

Unfortnately, Alex was in a little bit of a mood. Not necessarily a bad mood, but a non-smiling mood! I didn't get very many pictures of him smiling - sorry for that! I guess it just reminds me that you can't predict how pictures will go with an almost 2 year old!

After he played on the playground, he ran to the nearby soccer fields. Larry chased Alex around and Alex had a blast. He was laughing like crazy and growling (yes, it is a new thing and it is interesting)! At the soccer field, he decided that it would be a great idea to throw himself on the goal. He did so and hung from the netting and then he got stuck in the net! So funny and it just goes to show you that you never know what you can expect from Alex.

Enjoy some of our pictures from our time at the park:

Game Day

ROLL TIDE!

The very first Alabama game of the season is on TV. Larry is eagerly watching the Alabama game and I am uploading pictures to the website!

Today we put Alex in his jersey and hat and took him to the park and beach on Pax River (the Naval Base). He had a great time at the park and enjoyed the beach as well! I made Larry wear his jersey so I could get some pictures of them together with their jerseys on. I got quite a few and think they turned out really good!

I got a ton of great pictures - I had a hard time in choosing which ones to put on the slideshow.

Enjoy the pictures :)

Alex LOVES Presents...

...just like his Mommy!

Alex got a package in the mail from Grandma Becky and Grandpa Pete. He got a "Dooby-Doo" care package - "Dooby-Doo" big boy Underwear, a "Dooby-Doo" swimsuit and "Dooby-Doo" gummies! He was pretty much in "Dooby-Doo" heaven!

He enjoyed everything and we got a few cute pictures with his new stuff! He tried on his underwear - making me let him do it all by himself!

Thank you Grandma Becky and Grandpa Pete for thinking of Alex!

Jump Yard Videos

We got a few videos of Alex sliding down the big slide at the Jump Yard. We think they are pretty funny!

Enjoy!

Jump Yard

Larry and I took Alex to the Jump Yard this afternoon. He had such a great time! He loved being able to show Daddy the inflatable toys and ran around like crazy.

Our son has no fear, he was climbing up the tall slides like a pro and having a blast sliding down them! He befriended a little girl and enjoyed following her around the place.

Here are some pictures of Alex at the Jump Yard:

Roll Tide Roll

It is that time of year again...College Football!

Our house will soon be filled with noises of Larry (and Alex) cheering "Roll Tide"! Alex got a new shirt and jersey this year - he grew out of his shirt from last year, so we HAD to replace it! We decided to let Alex wear his shirt tonight and it looked so cute on him. He has also been wearing his hat a little more lately - he prefers to put it on backward :)

I took this picture after his nap and on the way to get his haircut this afternoon. He had just eaten a cookie, so excuse the messy face!

We plan to put him in his jersey tomorrow for game day and take some pictures of him in that! Hopefully we will get a few good shots of Larry and Alex in their jerseys!

Flexible Kid

I have no idea how our little monkey managed to put his whole body into this basket and watch TV, but he did...and I thought it was hilarious :)

He did find it a little more difficult to get out of the basket and started yelling "Help, Help!" Silly boy!

Thanks Aunt Sheena!

Aunt Sheena took these two pictures of Alex when she was here! I absolutely love them and had to share them with you all!

Little Monkey

Today, Alex decide to push over his kitchen and CLIMB all over it! At one point he was standing on the backside of the kitchen...like he was surfing! Some days, he is such a boy!

He pushed it down four times total today, so after the last time I just gave up and watched him carefully as he was climbing all over it!

I did take a few pictures of him on top of it:

Blessed

I know that I don't say it often enough, but I am so blessed to have such an amazing husband that works so hard to provide for our family. I am lucky to be able to stay home and raise our growing, sweet boy. I don't have to miss a minute of his life and for that, I will be forever greatful to Larry. Thank you Larry for all that you do for us!

There are days when it is challenging to be a stay-at-home mom, but today Alex was in such a good mood, giving kisses and loving on his Mommy! I am so blessed!

I had no make-up on, but besides that I thought this was a good picture:
The next two are kisses for Mommy:

Here is a slideshow with some pictures that I took today:

Cell Phone Pictures

I decided to clean off my the pictures on my cell phone and post some of the cute ones on here! I know they aren't the best quality, but they sure are cute!

Curled up and watching "Dooby-Doo" - it is the only thing that keeps his attention longer than 2 minutes:

I have no idea why he was watching TV like this - too funny:

Riding in the car with his construction goggles on:

Ready to go...with his construction hat on and his backpack packed with his Scooby-Doo toys and tools:
